The Boston Marathon bombing trial began January 5, a year and nine months after the incident took place. After all the evidence and surveillance videos left behind, it is clear that terrorist Dzhorkhar Tsarnaev is guilty of all his charges. A year since the bombing makes me wonder, “why does justice take so long?”

Due to his pleads of being innocent, Tsarnaev’s attorneys requested extra time to prepare their defense. Originally, Tsarnaev was scheduled for a status hearing on September, 23, 2014 .

The Ferguson trial occurred during the same year of the incident because of all the protests and involvement of people. Justice has taken too long for the victims of the marathon and maybe it is because the Boston Marathon Bombing did not get as much attention it needed.

The Ferguson trial occurred quickly, even though only one life was lost; as opposed to the Boston Marathon Bombing where three lives were lost and many were severely injured.

I think the Boston Marathon bombing needed to get more attention because it was a terrorist attack, which terrorized us as a country. I also think the families of the victims should have gotten together and protested so that this trial had the same attention the Ferguson Trial had.
