Kailyn Anaya voting 'YES'. One of many yeses but just as important as every other. Every vote counts because if one person decides not to speak their voice, what makes it seem like hundreds of others will decide to do the same.

The attention of the students were captured. Wondering what these might be, students gathered in groups to see what the posters were saying and why they were saturated in the quad. Something sparked their interest, but it was enough to get them to vote 'YES' or 'NO'

Aiden Deming explaining to classmate and peer, Natalia Reyes the meaning of this red, yellow, and green shaded map. Being the biggest poster in the quad is bound to catch someones eye.

Your voice matters. When the school gives you a chance to voice your opinion might as well use to it to make a difference. That 'YES' or 'NO' may be the tie breaker to a very controversial topic.

Before the game starts you can feel the energy surging through the air. There's a buzz up and down and all throughout the stands. It's only the beginning.

Don Lugo student Victoria Arreola thrilled watching the intensity this game is sparking and only in the second quarter.

VICTORY! Four years of four wins in a row. The Conquistadores couldn't be more ecstatic about winning Chino in this rivalry. Students, players, parents and even alumni are celebrating the Milk Can win.

Gary Garcia star running back of the Varsity Football Team focuses on the importance of this game. His stance and attention is all concentrated on this game and nothing else.

Full Of Spirit. Five conquistadors show their school spirit for the biggest event of the year by writing out "Lugo!" across their chest. The passion is bursting out of these students.

The Conquistadores bursting through the flag to get the crowd fired up to get ready for a night they'll never forget.

The Milk Can. The prized possession Don Lugo wants to keep and Chino wants to take home. They fight heard for four quarters to determine which rival earns the trophy.

Don Lugo Varsity Captains are seen here calling the infamous coin toss. They decide to either start the kick off or pick which side they want to start on first. It's what raises the tension in the biggest game of the year.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, CVUSD has implemented new policies to slow the spread of the virus.

This poster, among the many plastered around campus; all had supervising reporters to explain in further depth what the question was proposing. Once students fully understood the meaning of the question, they were handed a sticker to voice their opinion with the choices yes or no.

On January 29, Don Lugo students all around campus had a chance to divert their attention to Student Press Freedom Day because of the controversial issues posted all around the quad. This student is proudly voting yes for the topic "Should graffiti be considered art?" This event was a remarkable opportunity for students and staff to have their voices be heard.

For Student Freedom Press Day, Quest News reporters decided to bring the right of a free press awareness to the Don Lugo campus so students would see how fortunate they are to live in one of the very few countries that gives them freedom of speech. Kobe's passing hit Don Lugo's students as hard as it hit the rest of the world. The monday after his passing student's came to school wearing their favorite Laker memorablia. Don Lugo was a sea of purple and gold.
