After 11 years, Club Penguin has met its end and shutting down. Memberships from the desktop and app will no longer be available for purchase as of March 31st. The current paid memberships that were purchased before March 31st will be able to log into their accounts and continue with full-unlimited access until the membership date ends.

The Club Penguin team have been working hard on a new Club Penguin experience for mobile devices. The Club Penguin developers, Disney, announced on January 31st that the social game for kids will be removed on March 29, but will be replaced with a new mobile game, Club Penguin Island. Club Penguin Island will offer a unique penguin experience different from that of Club Penguin, with new features and gameplay, making it more fun than ever.

Former users are able to pre-register for the new Club Penguin Island now, but will have to wait until March to go on and play. Club Penguin Island will allow users to select any language and territory in the game.
