Don Lugo’s Girls Varsity Water Polo team took the defeat against Diamond Bar, with a score of 2-13. After two years, the team returned to CIF contention. Even though the girls lost, they fought hard and kept their heads up the entire game.

The lady Q’s did have two successful goals scored by Britney Beltran and Bailey Conrardy. Kristina Rizzo, Amber Vigneault, Brianna Thomas, and Shannon Roacha attempted shots on net while simultaneously defending their net against the other team.

Lugo player, Shannon Roacha, stated, “I feel great that we did our best through this entire season and put a lot of dedication to this team and season to make it to CIF. She also went on to say, “Since I’m a senior and this is my last year here at Don Lugo, this has been a great experience and I was lucky enough to go to CIF this year since it is my first year competing.”

The girls are looking forward to next season and can’t wait for new teammates.
