The Don Lugo Dance Team performed a Pom routine at last week’s basketball game. The performance took place in the Don Lugo gymnasium. This was their first time preforming at a basketball  game and from several accounts the team’s performance was a crowd–pleaser.

The team currently has more Pom Routines in the works. The Coach of the dance team Mrs. Avery expressed “I thought they did a good job for their first time performing at a basketball game.” The Dance team is working hard to give a hopefully “phenomenal” performance next month.

Mrs. Avery and Mrs. Rigo-Witt also thought that it would be a great idea to have a specific uniform for the lady Conquistadors that they can wear while preforming with their pom routines in specific. The team is currently being scheduled to preform some of their dances that is not the Pom Routine for upcoming sports games other than basketball.

The team is expected to be performing throughout the school year at more upcoming sports games with routines and other dances. When the team performed their first Pom routine last week they received positive feedback from the crowd in the stands. The ladies say they will have to put the “same effort” forth as they did last week for the next game, as they will be performing their Pom routine for the people attending that day as well.
