A new single has been released by Daniel Cesar and Rex Orange County. Many people on TikTok have expressed their love for the songs. There are 2 songs, one called “rearrange my world” and the other is “There’s a field (That’s only yours)”. The first song starts off with Rex Orange County singing in a low vocal tone. Creating a gentle, loving and peaceful atmosphere. The lyrics are well written, illustrating how a person can change the life of another’s. Saying “Rearrange my world the way you do” describes a person’s perspective alternating after meeting a special someone. Claiming that if that special individual was ever in need of something they can lean on them.The repetition of this phase leaves a mark of how life changing they are or were. The repetitive phrase with the beat is just simply breathtaking. Daniel Cesar and Rex Orange County sing in a way of admiration. Their gentle vocals with the mellow beat in the background sets a tone of romance. A student exclaimed their love for the song saying it’s been on “replay”.  Like in the other song “There’s a field (That’s only yours)” I think it’s about how after or during a relationship small things remind you of them.

Simple objects that before meant nothing can bring you a smile from memories. A connection between things starts to form. I would say this song is harder to assume what the lyrics mean for me. I feel as if the other one was very blunt and this one makes me feel oblivious. Since I don’t fully comprehend the message it is sending. But overall this song is also very beautifully well written. A sophomore expressed how the song is “quite calming” in a sense it’s the “perfect song to listen to when studying or when your Airpods are in during school”. Both instrumental and singing songs just tie well together. I would rate this Single a 9/10. I only wished there were more songs because these artists work well together.
