The Dance 2 class comes to the end of their performance with a striking finish. This year the Winter Dance Show presented raw talent each night. All dancers were exhilarated and happy about what they have accomplished this year and cant wait for their next endeavor.

Both nights of the annual Winter Dance Show exceeded all expectations. Many Junior’s and Senior’s displayed immense talent and passion in the “solo dances” that grabbed and tugged the heartstrings of the audience each night. It was clear that the dance department put full effort in their first dance show of the year.

The DALHS students that danced solos were Carolyn Tellez, Elisa Lo, Amanda Bugarin, Victoria Williams and Paola Espinosa each of which who obtained all the attention throughout each night. These dancers all had stories to tell and each of them did it through a dance that had the audience emotionally moved. In addition to the solo dances performed, Junior Richard Hadnot stood out as well by exhibiting great talent while performing with both the Dance 2 class and hip-hop team.

Hadnot’s performance throughout the night showed the audience that boys are also capable of dancing with talent and passion not just the ladies. Just like Hadnot, Aidan Carcido a member of the hip-hop team also felt the need to show the audience that he was capable of doing great things as well, and he did just that. After all he does have to carry on his award-winning older sister Anissa Carcido’s legacy as she will be graduating this year.

With the amazing back to back nights of the Winter Dance Show the Lugo Dance Department reminded people that Lugo has some very talented kids on campus. By being able to showcase this talent students were able to show friends and family that what they love to do is more than “just dancing on a stage.”
