Google in your home
November 30, 2016
Google revealed their latest voice-activated AI that connects to the user’s home and devices, Google Home. Google Home is a device that is able to connect with other smart devices like Chromecast, Nest and Philips Hue. It has several features that it can control in a house, like being able to set the temperature or turn down the lights just by the user issuing a simple voice command.
Google Home is activated by the key words “Hey Google” and “OK Google,” where the user can then ask a question about anything they would of a real personal assistant, or, Google. Google Home works over Wi-Fi and is a integrated high-excursion AI that gives highs sound to your surroundings. A simple voice request can trigger Google Home to play music or any services such as Google Play Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Pandora.
Google Home is capable to help find or answer any question that a person could ask, such as if a student is having trouble with a homework assignment. It is also able to give anybody the latest weather forecast, traffic warnings and also give the latest sports score, which appear to be personalized to the user’s location and tastes. Google Home is only able to link into one Google account at this moment until further updates.
