Don Lugo Girls’ Varsity Tennis played their last game against the Ontario High School losing to a score of 2-12. The Lady Q’s put up their best fight but could not get by the Jaguars. With this being their senior night and the match to determine if they go to CIF or not; the loss affected them greatly.

Senior and Co Captain,Alexis Yardley, won both matches that night for their team as well as having the highest stats throughout the season. Senior, Sarah Wilson, did not win any that night, but did end the season with the second highest stats on the varsity team this year. Seniors Victoria Llamas , Isabel Vargas, and Madison Padilla did not win any games last night but were major contributors to the team for their season this year.

Sarah Wilson states, “We went in underestimating Ontario because we beat them the first time, but they did give us a run for our money,” she went on to say that “…tonight was one of the most fun games we have played this year as well as the most intense.” Unfortunately the girls won’t be continuing in CIF due to the loss of many games throughout their season, but “next year should be a strong team with the upcoming talent,” stated senior Isabel Vargas.
