After a 10 year hiatus, Lugo football defeated Colony with a score of 48-18. The win was a great start for the team and gave momentum to better themselves so they can continually win throughout the rest of their season. Lugo hasn’t beaten Colony since 2005.

Running back, Khoury Bethley, had an outstanding game with 15 carries for 120 yards and 3 touch downs with an average of 8 yards per carry. Quater back Rudy Garcia connected on 11 of 15 pass attempts for 244 yards and had 2 touchdowns. Overall, the team played exceptionally well.

From the beginning to the end of the game, Lugo played with more passion and showed their desire to win. From their performance many are becoming confident that the football team will do extremely well in season and will take it all the way to CIF. Khoury Bethley had to say,” The whole team deserved that win and we will continue to work hard to make this a regular thing.”
