Don Lugo Varsity softball serving up a pitch to the Grand Torrence Titans. “This years season has been one hell of a ride. I believe that we got this far because we stuck together no matter what situation,” expressed Varsity Catcher, Brandi Machado.

Brandie Altuna and

Don Lugo Varsity Softball laced up their cleats and had their gloves ready to take on the Grand Terrance Titans today but sadly lost 8-0 bringing their season to an end. This was the Conquistadores 3rd round of CIF, but this wasn’t the first time Don Lugo’s softball team had made it deep into quarterfinals. The Titans were known for being the number one softball team in the state and it was their time to take on our Lady Q’s.

The Varsity Softball girls played their hearts out on the field but were unable to continue their journey for the ring. Lugo was able to challenge their opponent within the first two innings with the score being 0-0, but the Titans were able to lead the game 3-0 by the end of the second inning.

The softball season is now officially over, but the team was able to not only accomplish making it into the quarterfinals of CIF and being the only sport team to do so this year, but becoming The Mount Baldy League Champs of the Southern Section in California.

Interviews coming soon from the Don Lugo Varsity Softball Girls.
