The Don Lugo 2016 Prom was a night filled with glamour and endless dancing as the student body attended their final school dance.

Lugo’s Junior class welcomed students and faculty to this year’s prom at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim. The theme chosen for this year centered around The Queen’s finest spy, James Bond, also known as 007.  Having James Bond as the theme for the prom seemed fitting and gave way for a fun night of formal wear and elegance mixed with dancing and Vegas-style table gaming with fake money.

This year, “A Top Secret Affair” broke the record of ticket sales at Don Antonio Lugo. There were over 350 tickets sold to students, which is more than last year’s prom and the year before that. 007 prom was a definite success.

The theme for this year’s prom was well-received and many students enjoyed it. Many spent prom on the dance floor as they danced the night away with the dj, but for those who weren’t fond of dancing, there was the choice of trying your luck upstairs. There, you had options of a variety of tabletop and card games to play in case a break was needed from dancing.

As the night came to an end,the Prom King and queen were crowned. The 2016 Prom king and queen were Alexis Madrid and Odalis Guerrero. Once crowned, they shared a dance as the spotlight and all eyes were set on both.

Prom 2016 really met the students’ expectations and was definitely a memorable night for those in attendance.
