Don Lugo Conquistadores warm up for their game against Ontario. For some, this will be the last time that they play non their home field. It’s a very emotion moment for the Seniors.

With senior night passing by last Friday evening, Don Lugo’s senior football players were able to embrace their last home league match. This game brings lots of emotion for not only the seniors but the lower class men who are sad to see them go. Many of these seniors have dedicated all four years to the sport that they love.

They were able to celebrate all their hard work with their families as they were called out one by one before the game. After speaking to one of the senior players we found out just how emotional this night really was, “ I had to take a deep breath and realize that this was possibly my last home high school football game I will ever play.” How would this emotional night affect their play against the Ontario Jaguars?

The Don Lugo Conquistadors really came to play against the Jaguars routing them 54-27. The Conquistadors looked at its best of the season on offense firing on all cylinders. Passing was on point with quarterback Dane Ford who completed 12 of his 17 passes, and threw four touchdowns with no interceptions. One of those touchdowns landed in the hands of Devin Collins, wide-receiver, who ended the night with 120 yards. Rushing was also a huge strong suit constantly breaking through Ontario’s defensive front. Just ask running back Jesse Munguia, who scored three touchdowns by shifting his way through defenders and into the in zone..
