The 2015 district-wide college fair was held in Don Lugo’s gym on Monday, October 5, 2015. Admission to the annual event was free, with representatives from over 40 colleges and institutions in attendance.

This marks the second year in which Lugo has held the college fair. The event is a chance for any CVUSD student or parent to speak with spokespeople who have the answers to the many questions they might have regarding college admittance, tuition, and activities.

A variety of universities and community colleges came to this event from across the nation, from Arizona State University to University of Alaska, Fairbanks. A handful of the UCs and Cal State Universities were present as well.

Not only were colleges present, but other career institutions as well. Representatives from the US Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps had booths where young men and women could inquire about military life. “The army reserve is a great choice because it helps to pay for college and keeps you in great physical shape,” said Sargeant Holmes, an army representative.

With the gym packed with inquisitive students and their families, the 2015 college fair was another success for Lugo.
