Don Lugo played with all they had and pulled through with a 27-14 win. “I feel like every game we come stronger and mentally prepared and hope to keep it going to make it to CIF”, said Varsity kicker Diego Gomez. Don Lugo has had a fantastic start to their season and they are still continuing to do great with an overall record of 4-0.

The beginning of the game started with an intense play with Don Lugo’s punt returner Daniel Munguia scoring in the first 5 minutes. Sadly, Chino answered back by scoring right after, tying the game up. The first quarter ended with a nail-biting score of 7-7 until second quarter began and Khoury Bethley came out strong with a 5 yard touch down.

Don Lugo begins the third quarter with a third touchdown scored by Khoury Bethley by rushing 5 yards. After scoring the third touchdown Bethley was found to be injured. But even with one of their star players out, Lugo still perseveres and holds Chino to only 14 points.
