Don Lugo greets new student store clerk from Chino Hills high school. After many years of being the only school in the district without having a store clerk, Lugo finally opened up the position to  Jaime Myers. She has been a clerk for over eight years now in Chino Valley.

The student store has always been ran by the student body and activities director, but as of mid last week the conquistadors welcomed Jaime. Jaime expresses, “The kids have been really warm and welcoming, which has been exciting for me.”

It really truly is one family here and I love that, this is one of the main reasons that was driving me to come here.

— Jaime Myers

As of this week Jaime has already introduced five new snacks and one new drink into the student store:

  • Frozen Yogurt
  • Kettle Corn
  • Doritos Flamas
  • Flamin’ Hot Cheetos
  • Pop Tarts
  • Naked Juice

So far Jaime says, “The students seem to like them.”

Jaime is open to suggestions and wants to continue to update the student store with new drinks and snacks. She hopes to be running twitter polls in the near future. The polls are to have students vote on many different snacks to see what works and what doesn’t for the student store. The store will be improving slowly, but surely with the help of a new clerk.
