Kobe Bryant gives a final wave goodbye to his beloved fans after 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe didn’t fail to “wow the crowd” one last time by scoring 60 points. When speaking about Kobe, NBA Hall of Famer and Laker Legend, Magic Johnson, stated “… the best player to ever wear purple and gold.”

Wednesday, April 13, was the day that Kobe Bryant took his final steps on the court of the Staples Center. After a legendary 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, it was time for him to say his goodbyes. It was an emotional night not only for basketball, but for sports as a whole.

With all the hype surrounding #24, the man of the hour did not disappoint. He lit up the Utah Jazz, scoring a season-high 60 points on 50 shot attempts! Bryant has undoubtably had a hall of fame worthy career, with 18 All star selections, an MVP award, 2x Finals MVP, and 5 NBA championships, and is listed as 3rd on the all-time scoring list ending with 33,464 points.

Fans on the internet “broke” twitter last night, both celebrities and die-hard Kobe fans showed their love by tweeting #MambaNight while watching the Laker’s say farewell to their beloved captain. Support came from the NBA all season as Kobe went on his farewell tour. After so many years of loving, and hating, the 37 year old shooting guard, it was finally time to say goodbye. Sports fans all over the world thank Kobe Bryant for the tremendous memories and exciting career.
