Within the next few months, YouTube is planning to release their newest feature: YouTube Premium, a paid YouTube account. Adding this feature opens multiple doors for YouTube to expand their income horizon with this idea. Soon, YouTube is going to change the way everyone watches funny cat videos, forever.

YouTube Premium is basically a subscription to the “premium” version of YouTube for about 10 dollars a month. When you are on a premium account, you suffer no advertisements before videos, receive discounts for YouTube Music Key, and access to videos that are placed behind a paywall. A YouTuber can now place videos behind a paywall so only premium members can watch it, offering YouTubers to start making more money.

This new change is bringing more to the YouTube world, but some people are skeptical about the update. They fear that YouTube will start using more ads, and even disable the skip option. While those predictions may be true, none of us can know for sure until it releases within the next few months.
