Don Lugo administrators welcome the international educators by giving them a special tour around the school’s campus. The educators are visiting America so they can experience how schools like Lugo work on a daily basis. The international educators want to discuss a program between Lugo and foreign exchange students.

The program is set to send Chinese students to Lugo to experience the differences between studying in China and America. “As a former exchange student at Lugo, the experience was unbelievable, you make so many new friends, and learn a lot about the academics and the culture,” states former foreign exchange student Hank. Not only will there be international students staying for a week but for the whole year.

The international program is set to begin for the next 2017-2018 school year. Former helper of the foreign exchange program, Frances Flores expresses, “This is such cool thing we’re doing, I wish we could experience the same and study in China.” Lugo’s goal for the Chinese students are to make them gain more information on our education system and make their year here at Lugo great.
