A gaming company called Churroburo is creating an innovative player vs player Virtual Reality game, Velocibeasts, where players fight against each other using swords with the ability to teleport and where players are humanoids, half-human bodied and half-animal headed creatures. With only 3 months into development, this game is already innovating into the way VR fighting games operate. The CEO stated “as for our reason of innovating the technology, we are planning on becoming one of the main players in the VR industry.”

Churroburo is attempting to make the game feel as if players are actually fighting in real-life, against other players. As of now there are only 6 weapons and 2 arenas, but the developers are going to make it so players can customize weapons and rooms. The company’s CEO, Michael Pompili stated, “before the game is released in December we are planning on changing the UI [user interface] drastically, transferring this from just fighting to a party game.”

One of the innovative features in the game is the form teleportation. “The teleporting via throwing your weapon is something that has never been seen in video games,”stated Michael Pompili. Velocibeasts is currently in public beta testing, and the initial release will be on December 25, 2016.
