Legendary Music Icon Prince Passes Away

The “The High Priest of Pop” passed away on the morning of April 21 at Paisley Park Studio in Minnesota.

The 57-year-old singer was found dead in his estate by one of his workers.  According to one of his publicists, the cause of his death was the Flu; however, he was admitted to a hospital because of a drug overdose days before his death. No official statement has been released on what killed the “High Priest of Pop” but authorities are currently investigating the scene and an autopsy is scheduled on Friday.

‘Purple Rain,” “Little Red Corvette,” “I Wanna Be Your Lover” are just some of the most popular singles by Prince that are recognized universally. The release of his album “1982” in 1999 led Prince to be internationally loved by everyone who’s a fan of Michael Jackson and Madonna. Prince has won Grammys and sold over 100 million records worldwide throughout his successful career.

Many artists have been expressing their heartbreak. Even the president of the United Sates is mourning his death and has released a statement regarding the loss. “Today, the world lost a creative icon. Michelle and I join the millions of fans from around the owrld in the mourning  the sudden death of Prince.” stated Pres. Obama. As fans everywhere are expressing their love and support on social media and organizing tribute concerts, we will certainly continue to blast the music of the talented Prince.
