It’s a rally week at Don Lugo and Renaissance is working hard to create beautiful decorations for this week’s theme, Dia De Los Muertos. Renaissance chose this theme because they didn’t want to do anything that had already been done at a past rally and  Dia De Los Muertos occurred on the 1st and 2nd of November.

Renaissance has planned an exciting “spirit” week for students, and plan to celebrate Dia de los Muertos and the school’s scholars. Monday is crazy socks day; Tuesday, wear any Disney clothes or accessories; Wednesday is Twin day, so wear matching clothes with a friend or family member; Thursday wear red for our Don Lugo scholars; and finally, Friday wear brown and gold to show school spirit and support!

This rally celebrates academics, to remind students that learning is just as important and should be recognized. The students who are celebrated will receive certificates and pins funded by Renaissance along with acknowledgement from their peers for their achievements. The groups that will be celebrated at this academic rally include AP scholars, top 10 10-12 graders, those receiving academic letters, the AP high 5, AP scholars with distinction and AP scholars with honors distinction.

The Renaissance team works hard to make every rally memorable with performances from groups on campus, and always try to have surprises for students.  This year, there’s going to be an individual performer to “wow” students!  Until then, show school spirit as much as possible, and get ready!
