In celebration of the 80th anniversary of “The Wizard of Oz”, Don Lugo’s Theater Program will be putting on a show titled, “Oz.” This play was written by Don Zolidas, and will be featured in the MPR on November 13 and 14, at a cost of $5.00 per ticket. Both showings will open at 6:30 PM and start at 7 PM. Eddie Lillie, Andreia Sales, Aiden Deming, and Olivia Ellis are some of the many students that make up the cast. This play will introduce a new character named Beth that is similar to Dorothy from the original movie. Other characters that will be revisited will include the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, and Scarecrow! This story portrays a young girl dealing with tragedy, but it manages to turn a drama into a comedy in the same play.

Mya Salazar commented on her expectations for the play, “Everyone who has been a part of this production has worked so hard to make sure that everything from our fliers to our cast members are full of color, so I believe we will have an enthusiastic and eager audience ready for a great performance.”
