Lady Q’s tame the tigers

Senior captain Faith Lopez shooting a goal at her practice and getting ready to take more victories. Faith commented about her team, Hopefully Ill be able to lead my team to CIF and more wins since Ive been playing varsity soccer for all four years. I have always gave my teammates encouragement and try to help them improve whenever they need me, Lopez also stated. The lady Qs are really looking forward for this season.

Don Lugo’s very own girls varsity soccer team dominated Chaffey in their first league game with the score of 5-1. As tensions ran high, the conquistadors fought hard and came away with the win against the Chaffey Tigers. The Lady Q’s had all the key elements that could surely take them straight to CIF.

Shay McCool had an outstanding game with 2 assists helping out teammates Elyssa Ramirez and Celeste Valencia and McCool had 1 goal during the game. Alyssa Pedroza and Britney Serrano also had goals helping out with the win of the game.  The team is confident this year and are ready to take more victories in their season.

The girls are looking forward to their new season and they can’t wait to play more high schools. “I am truly excited for this new season and positive that we will finish the season with a good outcome,” stated Senior, Captain, Alyssa Pedroza. She went on to say, “The team has definitely worked the hardest and we are always practicing to do better as a team and individuals and it is all thanks to our coach for pushing us to our best.”

The girl’s next game is on January 25 versus Montclair high school at 5 o’clock.
